Examples of Using the PERFSET .CMD File

The following are some examples of using the PERFSET.CMD files.

• Display all the folders on the desktop, including the desktop, in icon view in a flowed pattern using normal icons:

  PERFSET ALL "<WP_DESKTOP>" ICONVIEW=FLOWED, NORMAL
  

• Make all the objects under the OS/2 object, including the OS/2 object itself, non-deletable using the WPS style:

  PERFSET ALL "OS/2 System" NODELETE=YES
  

• Make all the objects under the OS/2 object, including the OS/2 object itself, non-deletable using the DeskMan/2 WPS Extensions:

  PERFSET ALL "OS/2 System" DMExtAllowDelete=0
  

• (Using the WPS Extensions, you can affect objects that normally cannot be made undeletable using the OS/2 setting)
• Make the OS/2 System folder, located on the desktop, always be displayed in tree view, with icon titles in 14 point System font:

  PERFSET "OS/2 System" "Desktop" TREEFONT=14.System;DEFAULTVIEW=TREE
  

• Make the Shredder, wherever it is presently located, invisible:

  PERFSET "WP_SHRED" ANYWHERE NOTVISIBLE=YES
  

• Make all the folders, except the desktop, always be sorted when opened:

  PERFSET ALLEXCEPT "Desktop" ALWAYSSORT=YES
  

• Set the size of the icon view for the DevTech folder, presently located on the desktop:

  PERFSET "DevTech" "Desktop" SIZEPOS=ICON,14,30,78,23
